Purandar water tank

Though Purandar has many water cisterns (at least 25), they don't hold potable water, especially in summer. So better to take enough water from base village itself.

 Sight Seeing
Purandeshwar mandir

Purandeshwar mandir is in a good condition and has been maintained well (except for the modern coloring)

This is second of the pair of Sar Darwaja. As can be seen, it's in a good condition. Sitting in the darwaja quietly in the darwaja and imagining the glory of Maratha's gives a different feeling!!
 Note
All references regarding duration of trek and transport are given with respect to Kalyan, which is about 50 km north-east of Mumbai.
